Budai Viktória és Salga Máté: Nézőpontok (2018.07.28.-2018.08.10.)

Magyar

Budai Viktória munkái arra utalnak, hogy a nyilvánvalón túl az
emberalkotta világ összefüggései megérthetőek és átélhetőek.
Kísérletezik az anyag felületének impresszionisztikus vibrálásával.  A
megformált fém szilárdsága megmarad, miközben szinte üveghatást ér el
a sugarak játéka a felületen. A fotószecesszió hatása mutatkozik meg
vizes felületeinek szokatlan tükreiben. A strukturált felszín
különféle megjelenítéseivel a valóságos rétegeket úgyszólván
titkosítja, miközben percepciónkat teszteli.
Salga Máté fekete-fehér világa az épített városi környezet konstruktív
arculatát ragadja meg. Főként analóg technikát használ, amely technika
magában hordozza a homogén síkokkal építkező építészet redukcióra
törekvő jellegzetességeit. A megjelenő emberi alakok oldják a tér
szigorúságát és egyben mutatják az alkotó érdeklődését. A zártságból a

Budai Viktória 2006-ban diplomázott a Berzsenyi Dániel Főiskola
film-és videókultúra közvetítés szakirányán. A vizuális művészetek
iránti érdeklődése később elsősorban a fotográfia felé irányult, ezért
2017- től alkalmazott fotográfiai tanulmányokba kezdett. Emellett a
KRE BTK végzős hallgatója művészettörténet (Ma) szakon. A Barabás
Villában 2011-ben bemutatott Tél sorozatát tartja fontosnak munkái
közül. Jelenleg digitális  technikával készíti képeit, de érdekli a
fotogram és a kemogram analóg technika is.

Salga Máté 1995-ben született Budapesten. Jelenleg a Szegedi
Tudományegyetem fogorvosi karán végzi tanulmányait. A fényképészettel
az egyetemi évek alatt kezdett el komolyabban  foglalkozni. A városi
tematikát kontrasztos, fekete-fehér képekben valósítja meg,
kompozícióiba gyakran emel be geometriai elemeket, sziluetteket. Egyik
munkáját beválogatták a SZTE 2017/18-as őszi hallgatói
fotókiállítására, a tavaszi tárlaton pedig két újabb képével 3.
helyezést ért el.

The works of Viktória Budai suggest that the connections in the world created by humans may be understood and experienced beyond the obvious. It is an experiment into the impressionist vibration of the surface of various materials. The sturdiness of shaped metal remains while the playful arrangement of rays of light on the surface give it an almost glass-like effect. The influence of Photo-Secession can be detected in the unusual reflections of her watery surfaces. By the varied depictions of structured surfaces she almost hides the real layers and tests our perceptions.

The black and white world of Máte Salga reflects the constructive face of the environment of built-up cities. He mainly uses analogue technique, which carries within itself the characteristics of architecture using homogeneous levels and aiming at reduction. The people pictured lessen the strictness of the space and at the same time point to the artist’s interest. From the closed-in space the photographer steps out onto the streets and squares, widening his reflections. The artist aims to inspire the viewers to connect the two distant points of the harder abstract and the softer organic shapes through a soundless urban meditation.

About the artists

Viktoria Budai received her degree in 2006 at the Dániel Berzsenyi College majoring in film and video culture. Her interest in visual art took her first to explore photography and she started studying applied photography from 2017. In addition, she is completing her degree (MA) in art history at KRT BTK. Out of her works she considers the “Winter” series exhibited in the Barabás Villa in 2011 the most important. For photography she uses digital technology at the moment but she is also interested in exploring photogram and chemigram analogue technology too.

Máte Salga was born in Budapest in 1995. At present he is studying dentistry at the Szeged University. It was during his university years that he developed a keen interest in photography. The topic of city life is pictured in contrasting black and white photos and the compositions often include geometrical shapes and silhouettes. One of his work was selected for the autumn exhibition of students of the Szeged University in the year 2017/18 and in the spring exhibition he received 3rd place with two of his later photos.
