Végül is kiderül, hogy az idegbeteg gesztusok is algoritmus szerint rángatóznak a vásznon és a legvadabb vágyaink is már rég fönt vannak a neten. Turkálunk a digitális képek özönében, és újrahasznosítjuk azokat, egyúttal inspirálódunk is általuk. A nyersanyag kiválasztása és a kompozíció akár random választás eredménye is lehet. Az átírás aktusa ösztönös kényszer, és amúgy is ezzel a tettel azonosítható leginkább az alkotás illúziója. Legkézenfekvőbb módja a mediális transzformáció: megállítjuk a mozgóképet, megfestjük a fotót, animáljuk a festményt. A néző pedig a végén jól ráasszociál.
A ZAWAR Collective művészei a digitális média képi világából inspirálódva idéznek, transzformálnak és kollázsolnak. A digitális nyersanyag sokszor maga a téma is egyben, különböző, de leginkább festészeti megközelítésből. A mediális transzformáció – azaz képek médiumokon keresztüli utaztatása, fürdetése – jellemző mindhárom művész munkájára. Pixelbe tört vagy csorgatott pop-ikonok és a digitális média képszmogjának darabjai jelennek meg alkotásaikon. Legújabb kiállításuk témája az átalakítás (átírás, mozgatás és deformálás), mint alkotói művelet.

Finally it turns out that the neurotic gestures twitch on the screen by an algorhythm, too, and our widest desires have been on the internet for a long time. We fumble in the stream of digital pictures and we re-use them while being inspired by them, too. The choice of raw material and the composition can be random. The act of re-writing is a subconscious urge, and anyway, the illusion of acting can be identified by this deed. Its most obvious way is the medial transformation: we stop the moving image, we paint the photo, we animate the painting. And in the end the audience make associations.
The artists behind ZAWAR Collective are inspired by the pictorial world of the digital media, they quote, transform and make collages. The raw digital material is often the topic itself, from different, but mainly from a picturesque approach. The medial transformation, ie. the traveling and bathing of images through media, is a characteristic of the three artists. Pop icons broken into pixels or dripped, pieces of the picture smog of the digital media are apparent in the works. The theme of their newest exhibition is transformation (re-writing, moving, deforming) as an artistic process.
